  3. Import the NVOL into Unreal Engine with Volinga Plugin.

  4. Place the asset in your scene and play it back in real time.

By streamlining asset management and enabling efficient real-time playback, this workflow finally makes 4D Gaussian Splats a practical solution for virtual production, digital twins, and immersive experiences.

What’s New in Volinga Suite

This release introduces several improvements that make creating Gaussian Splats faster and more flexible.

  • 4D Gaussian Splat Support: Convert animated PLY sequences into optimized NVOL assets for real-time playback in Unreal Engine.

  • User-Provided Masks: Gain greater control over your reconstructions by supplying your own masks during processing, making it easier to isolate the areas that matter most.

  • Stability Improvements: We’ve also included numerous bug fixes and quality-of-life improvements to make Volinga Suite more reliable for day-to-day production workflows.

What’s New in Volinga Plugin

The latest Plugin release expands Unreal Engine compatibility while improving performance and usability.

  • Better Performance: The Plugin release includes improved VRAM efficiency, DLSS support and large file support beyond the previous 4 GB limit. These improvements make it easier to work with larger Gaussian Splat datasets while maintaining real-time performance.

  • Broader Compatibility: The Plugin now supports Unreal Engine 5.8, SPZ file format and SOG file format. This gives creators greater flexibility when integrating Gaussian Splats into existing production pipelines.

  • Improved Unreal Engine Workflows: We’ve also made several enhancements to streamline everyday work inside Unreal Engine, including:

    • Sublevel Streaming support

    • Rendering settings moved to actor properties

    • Radiance Fields actor properties exposed to Sequencer

    • Improved Plugin integration and usability

    • NVOL asset properties

    • Content Browser shortcuts

    • Lighting interaction visualization

    • Additional bug fixes and workflow improvements
